Cultural
Atlas
of the cross-border Lille metropolis
and the Northern mining area
|
This Atlas of cultural facilities covers the cross-border
Lille metropolis and the mining area of the Nord-Pas-De-Calais.
It makes an inventory of over 1800 cultural structures and facilities
in an area containing more than 3 million inhabitants.
On the eve of Lille 2004, European capital for culture, there is
an ambitious move to inform on the cultural richness of these areas.
The interactive aspect of the Atlas enables you to locate on a map,
at various scales, the cultural facilities and structures classified
by domain (theatre, dance, classical music and opera, concert halls,
museums, etc.).
This Atlas has been established by the “Agence de développement
et d'urbanisme de Lille Métropole” and the “Mission
Bassin minier”, with the support of the Belgian communes and
inter-communes of the COPIT area (Conférence Permanente Intercommunale
Transfrontalière). It resumes and completes the previous
work done by the “Agence”, especially the work published
by the COPIT in 2001, in it’s journal n°16.
The “Mission” and the “Agence”
invites you to consult and use this tool. They rely on you to make
it “live”, by this we mean that it will benefit from
the corrections and improvements that you might suggest. This feedback
will provide a basis for defining the needs and the future evolution
method of this Atlas
Therefore, do not hesitate to contact the
“Mission” and the “Agence” to let us know
what feedback you can provide.
